Tamworth technology partner marks over 50 years of service with a rebrand to MTS Technology
TAMWORTH, 24 July 2026 – MT Services Computer Systems Ltd, the Tamworth-based technology partner to businesses across the Midlands, is rebranding as MTS Technology from 1 August.
The company’s roots go back to 1973, when it was founded as Midland Typewriter Services, supplying and maintaining typewriters for local offices. As business technology moved from typewriters to personal computers, then to networks, email and cloud services, the company moved with it, becoming MT Services Computer Systems Ltd in the 1990s.
The business has kept adapting ever since, through networking, the internet, mobile computing, cloud services, and, more recently, artificial intelligence. The name changed far less often. This is the first rebrand since the company became MT Services in the 1990s, and directors say it was time for the name to catch up with the business.
Today, still headquartered in Tamworth, the business provides managed IT support, cyber security, cloud solutions and business continuity services to organisations across the Midlands and beyond. The people customers work with day to day stay the same.
